Newly released, Carmen Cruz, a 62-year-old Newark resident, was hit by a car on Amboy Avenue in Woodbridge, New Jersey. She was rushed to Raritan Bay Medical Center where she died of her injuries. The driver, who remained at the scene and cooperated with police, was not found to be impaired or speeding.
