Apple's App Store in China gets lower 25% commission to appease regulators

Apple's new App Store commissions in China will take effect on March 15, with the current 30% rate being dropped to 25% for in-app purchases and paid app transactions. The Small Business Program and Mini Apps Partner Program will see their rates decrease from 15% to 12%. The changes are part of a larger effort to appease Chinese regulators who have been critical of Apple's 30% commission. It is unclear if these changes will prevent regulatory action from the country.
