The U.S. military has confirmed that a military refueling plane has been lost over Iraq, not due to hostile or enemy fire. The incident occurred during Operation Epic Fury, which led to retaliatory strikes against Iran. The Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed responsibility for the loss of the plane. The KC-135, which costs $39.6 million, is usually used to refuel other aircraft mid-air.
