Live Nation and the Department of Justice have reached a settlement over antitrust claims, with Live Nation agreeing to cap service fees and allow venues to partner with alternate ticket providers like StubHub. The agreement still requires approval from several states, including New York's attorney general Letitia James, and 25 other states, to be discussed in court. The settlement includes an eight-year extension of Live Nation's consent decree with the Justice Department, which bars Live Nation from threatening to restrict concerts from venues that don't sign deals with Ticketmaster. While there's no financial component to the settlement, Live Nation has set aside $280 million to pay damages brought by states.
