Trump administration waives summer gasoline regulations to address surging fuel prices

The US government has issued an emergency waiver to lift restrictions on the sale of E15 gas, a fuel blended with 15% ethanol, and removes all federal impediments to selling E10 gas. The move is part of an effort to reduce rising fuel prices during the Iran war. The waivers will take effect on May 1. The price of gasoline has risen by more than 30% since the start of the war against Iran, and prices are at the highest level since 2022.
