Christian singer-songwriter TobyMac and late singer Mandisa were among the artists to perform Christian songs during their journey to the moon. The song "Good Morning," which was played inside the Orion spacecraft, woke up the astronauts on the sixth day of their mission. Also on the same day, the late Jim Lovell, who piloted the Apollo 8 mission in 1968, recorded a message for the astronauts before passing away from cancer at 97 years old. Christian singer Anne Wilson also performed the National Anthem at the launch ceremony.
