Economist Henrietta Treyz has warned that it will take years to see lower gas prices in the US if the Iran war ends. She predicted that a regular flow of tankers from the Strait of Hormuz would not occur until September. She also mentioned a 300% increase in insurance costs and the rebuilding costs of 80 of the largest refiners and energy producers in the world.
