The jury trials in the case of pregnant woman found dead in a container were abruptly ended due to criminal complaints filed in the United States Southern District of Ohio Court. The federal court has jurisdiction to investigate additional evidence and may seek a new indictment at a later date. James Rothenbusch, another defendant connected to the case, pleaded guilty in January to one count of complicity to tampering with evidence and was sentenced to 30 months in prison. The alleged death of the woman was caused by an apparent drug overdose.
