Bryce Boettcher, a 2026 NFL Draft pick for the Indianapolis Colts, has also been a baseball player. Boettchers, who played four seasons on the Oregon baseball team, was taken in the MLB draft by the Astros as an outfielder two years ago. Despite being drafted by the Houston, Boettacher returned to the Ducks football team in 2024, recording 230 tackles over his final two seasons and leading the Big Ten with 80 assists on tackles. He also won the Burlsworth Trophy as the best FBS player who began his career as a walk-on.
