Erin Moriarty On Filming 'The Boys' During "Peak" Health Issues

Actress Erin Moriarty, who plays Annie/Starlight on The Boys, has shared her experience of working while struggling with Graves' disease, an autoimmune disorder that affects the thyroid gland. The episode 'King of Hell' of The Boys was filmed during her health crisis before she was diagnosed with Graves’ disease last May. The actress revealed that the episode'King of Hell', which was "one of the most important" she's ever shot, coincided with her health issues prior to her diagnosis. She also shared her feelings about the ignorance surrounding autoimmune disease and its symptoms, which can include heat sensitivity, weight loss, tremors, irregular heartbeat and potentially Graves' ophthalmopathy.
