Jackson Family Wines, a California-based company, has purchased Oregon wine brand, Big Salt, started by Ksenija Kostic House and John House in 2016. The brand specializes in dry white wine blends featuring aromatic grape varieties such as riesling, gewürztraminer and muscat. The grapes used for Big Salt grow in organicically and sustainably farmed vineyards in Oregon. The company now produces 30,000 to 40,000 cases of Oregon wine annually at its various winery properties. The purchase was announced without significant changes to the way Big Salt’s wines are made.
