Indigo Girls singer and guitarist Emily Saliers has been diagnosed with two movement disorders, which she says will affect her ability to sing as she prepares to embark on a tour. The diagnosis was made public through a video post on social media. One condition is called cervical dystonia with torticollis, which affects the part of Saliers' brain that controls movement and can cause a twisting head. She said there is no cure for these issues and that her voice will not be what it was. The Indigo Girls, who have been performing for over 40 years, begin their tour in Athens, Ohio on Friday.
