The Las Vegas alternative and metal festival, Sick New World, returned to the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on April 25. The event, which was canceled last year due to financial and logistical issues, showcased heavy music from Nineties giants System of a Down and Korn to metalcore bands Bring Me the Horizon. The festival also featured a mix of synth-goth sounds and new hardcore acts. The crowd was largely young and old, with some wearing skimpy clothes compared to those seen at Coachella. The performance was largely praised by attendees, with notable performances from Evanescence, Knocked Loose, Danny Elfman, and She Wants Revenge. Additionally, Korn played their recently released track, "Reward the Scars," in conjunction with the popular video game, Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred.
