Troopers track 161 mph motorcycle with Washington State Patrol plane

A motorcycle rider is facing a felony charge for fleeing troopers and driving 161 mph on I-5 while being tracked by a Washington State Patrol airplane. The crew of the Smokey 3 airplane spotted the rider speeding and followed him into an apartment complex in Federal Way. The rider was arrested and booked into the King County Jail while his motorcycle was impounded. Two days later, the plane crew was hit by a laser pointer in Pierce County, and the woman accused of firing the laser.
