Phantom Fireworks, a fireworks company that sold products to two suspected terrorists earlier this month, has been praised for its security measures and value to law enforcement. The company, which operates over 80 showrooms in 15 states and about 2,000 temporary locations in 17 states, was contacted by agents at a Michigan store after a man allegedly attacked a synagogue and attempted to bomb a New York Times. The incident was not the only time a suspected terrorist shopped at Phantom Fireworks this month. Phantom's VP and general counsel, William Weimer, said that the company's sophisticated internal system quickly found the suspect's name, address, a receipt for $2,250 fireworks and surveillance video of his visit to the store. While laws vary by state, generally, people must be 18 years old to buy fireworks and consumer-grade fireworks sold to the public are regulated by federal law. Phantom operates under the name of America's "America's #1 Fireworks Retailer".
