El Cortez Hotel & Casino in downtown Las Vegas has announced several executive promotions and new hires, including Adam Wiesberg and Patrick Lazarus. Nords Malilay has been promoted to vice president of player development and casino marketing of El Cortez hotel-casino. Bart Mahoney also joins the property. The announcement comes as a bill is introduced by bipartisan senators to ban sports bets on prediction markets. Sean McBurney, chief commercial officer and regional president of Caesars Entertainment, is the only gaming executive selected for the Aspen Institute's Henry Crown Fellowship. The fellowship aims to recognize accomplished entrepreneurial leaders and encourage them to make a difference in their communities or industries.
