The United States Coast Guard has cancelled its appearance in the Chattanooga Armed Forces Parade due to funding issues. The parade traditionally honors the military in order of each year. The issue arose when a member of the Coast Guard was scheduled to speak. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) oversees the Coast Guards, but the agency has not been fully funded.
