A woman is dead following a fire at a home in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The fire occurred around 2:23 p.m. on the 1700 block of Empress Lane. A man was able to escape the home through a window. The woman was taken to a local hospital, where she later died. It is unclear what caused the fire.
