The city of Minneapolis has awarded $1 million to 34 community organizations across all 13 wards in a bid to combat Operation Metro Surge, which caused an estimated $400 million in losses for local businesses. The grants will be distributed through the Great Streets Business District Support Program and an additional $350,000 from the Small Business Resiliency Fund. The funds will support marketing campaigns, branding, public events, and direct outreach to businesses.
