Tiger Woods withdraws from 2027 Ryder Cup captaincy: Five who could lead United States into Adare Manor

Tiger Woods has withdrawn from the 2027 Ryder Cup captaincy due to a recent accident outside the country. Woods was considered the primary option to captain the Americans at Adare Manor in Ireland. The PGA of America announced that Woods formally withdrew his name from consideration. The challenge is to find a new captain, as the United States has not won a Ryder Cup in Europe since 1993 and must face a European team led by Luke Donald for the sixth consecutive year. Five potential candidates for the position include current U.S. Presidents Cup captain, current PGA Tour captain, Jason Snedeker, current European team captain, and current player Rick Steves.
