Democratic Rep. Gregory Meeks (N.Y.) has moved to subpoena Secretary of State Marco Rubio, U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner for a hearing on the Iran war. Meeks, the ranking member on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, asked for the trio to testify before the end of April so members of Congress and the public could hear from them directly about the president's "war of choice in Iran". The House will vote on Meeks' motion after the hearing concludes. Prior to the Iran conflict, Witkoffs and Kushner negotiated with Iran on curtailing its nuclear program and ballistic missile development, but Iran's parliament speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, claimed that officials from his country have not held negotiations with the U.K.
