Trial for 20-year-old accused in Public Square murder

The trial of 20-year-old Maurice Thompson is set to begin in Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. He is accused of fatally shooting 36-year old Juan Rampon Ruiz Lopez at an RTA bus stop on Public Square in 2024. The charges stem from multiple counts of aggravated murder and aggravated robbery.
