Sony has launched PSSR 2, a new version of the upscaling tech that previously provided significant visual upgrades for certain games on PS5 Pro. The upgrade is part of a system-level update that can apply to all games, but some titles, including Silent Hill 2, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and Monster Hunter Wilds, will receive special patches. The most notable test will be the launch of Crimson Desert later this week. The new PssR 2 builds on an upgraded algorithm that aims to eliminate distracting graphical artifacts and offer better results across the board. The update also introduces a system level setting to enable or disable the feature across all games on the console.
