The historic 18th & Vine District in Kansas City has been named as the official "authentic" party destination during the FIFA World Cup this summer. The district, known for its museums, historical destinations, eateries and brewery, offers a unique experience rooted in Black culture. The neighborhood was developed during segregation during the era of segregation and was home to jazz greats such as Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald and Louie Armstrong. The city will host several World Cup matches on June 16, 20, 25 and 27, as well as July 3 and 11. For those unable to attend the tournament, Kansas City will also host the FIFA Fan Festival.
