Firefighters tackle forest blaze as Mourne wildfires under control

The Northern Ireland and Fire Rescue Service (NIFRS) has declared that the fires at the Mournes are under control, although they are still working towards another blaze at Loughermore Forest in Dungiven. The NIFRS is using a drone to assess the extent of the fire and has reported that over 80 firefighters were involved in the effort. The environment minister, however, dismissed claims of no consequences, stating that arsonists could face jail time.
