The New York Giants have signed former All-Pro kicker Jason Sanders as part of their special teams overhaul under new head coach John Harbaugh. The team's mismanagement of the kicking situation under former GM Joe Schoen, former head coach Brian Daboll, and former special teams coordinator Michael Ghobrial was criticized for leaving the team without a kicker in two losses and leading to a missed chip-shot field goal in an unexpected loss to the Jets. Sanders, who has made 84.6 percent of his field goals over a seven-year career with the Dolphins, was released last week to open up $3.9 million in salary cap space.
