Car Linked To NYC IED Attack Recovered In Wrightstown

A car believed to be connected to the weekend IED attack in New York City was found in the parking lot at the Anchor Shopping Center in Wrightstown. The Federal Bureau of Investigation and Newtown Township Police Department responded to the scene late Monday night and early Tuesday morning. The vehicle was towed from the scene and identified as one linked to 18-year-old Emir Balat of Middletown Township and 19-year old Ibrahim Kayumi of Newtown Township. Following the arrests, the FBI conducted weekend search warrants at homes in Newtown and Middlettown townships and a storage facility in Middleton.
