Special Olympics cycling competition comes to Mineola

The Special Olympics Texas North Region cycling competition took place in Mineola, Texas, with events ranging from 500 meters to 25 kilometers. All competitors received a medal regardless of their finish. The competition, which is decades old, qualifies for the state competition, set to take place in Melissa, Texas between April 30 and May 2. The North Region competition is typically held in Fort Worth. The event was moved to East Texas this year due to vendor changes.
