Takaya Imamura, the legendary Nintendo designer who created the Star Fox character, has expressed his gratitude for the release of Fox McCloud in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Imamura had previously expressed high hopes for a Star Fox movie, and had spoken to Shigeru Miyamoto about it. He is now independent and is working on projects like the indie adventure game Omega 6: The Triangle Stars.
