The largest anti-Trump protests, known as "No Kings" demonstrations, are expected to take place in major cities across the country this weekend, with around 66% of the planned protests expected to be held outside major urban centers and nearly half of them in a red or battleground state. This is up nearly 40% from the first No Kings Day of Action in June, according to Leah Greenberg, co-Executive Director of the Indivisible Project. Major blue-state cities are likely to see significant turnout, as they have in the past. The Twin Cities, the site of the protests, are the flagship site after federal officers fatally shot two American citizens in Minneapolis sparked massive protests. In October, around 250,000 protesters gathered in Chicago, with estimates from organizers putting the number significantly higher than initial estimates. Protests are also expected in the New York, Washington, D.C., and Chicago.
