LaPin alleges that Ferguson has received nearly $60,000 in political donations tied to energy and utility companies. The donations reportedly came from several political action committees and employees of several energy companies. LaP has set a Monday deadline for Ferguson to respond. Despite this criticism, LaPin faces a significant financial disadvantage in the race as Ferguson's campaign has roughly $1.2 million in cash on hand compared to LaPin's.
