Governor's special commission calls on Trump officials to testify about operation 'Midway Blitz'

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker's special commission, set up to provide accountability for those involved in the Department of Homeland Security's Chicago-area immigration operation "Midway Blitz," has called for current and former Trump administration officials to testify about the operation. The commission has sent out eight letters seeking testimony from officials such as former Border Patrol Commander-at-large Greg Bovino, former DHS Secretary Noem, Tricia McLaughlin, Corey Lewandowski, Todd Lyons, and Rodney Scott. The hearings, set for later this month, are expected to be held to record the impact of Operation Midway Blitz. Local officials and community activists hope this exposure will deter future large-scale immigration enforcement activities.
