The new head of the Greater Columbus Convention Center (GCCC), Dean Dennis, has expressed his intention to capitalise on the city's reputation and economic impact as a major convention destination. Dennis, who previously ran Memphis' convention center, succeeds John Page, who had been with the GCCC for over a decade. The convention center's focus on major events has helped Columbus attract the 2027 NCAA Women's Final Four and national conferences for the Future Business Leaders of America, National Recreation and Park Association, and American Society of Association Executives.
