The annual spring break Volkswagen tour took over 30 vehicles from Texas to East Texas, taking them on a nearly 900 mile road trip. The group, led by sixth grade science teacher Gary Alexander, navigated through several local towns before camping out in Palestine. Each annual road trip has a different theme, including a Texas European tour where they visit towns named after their namesake in Europe. The Volkswagens are said to bring people together due to their differences and their unique ownership. The team is currently halfway through their trip and have about 450 miles left to go.
