Playground Games is releasing Forza Horizon 6, a new generation of Forza games, which aims to leave the Xbox One behind. The studio's focus on new-gen gaming has allowed them to innovate and create a better game. Highlights include the introduction of Aftermarket and Treasure cars, which are new ways to obtain vehicles outside of the returning Autoshow and Barn Finds. The game also features Tokyo City, the largest urban environment to ever feature in a Forza game, five times larger than the previous game's Guanajuato. Despite the lack of a console version of the Xbox Series X, art director Don Arceta credits the scale of Japan for helping to accurately bring it to life. The company is also focusing on improving its rendering and visual fidelity, with more support for post-launch support for the game.
