The 8Bitdo M30 2.4Ghz Sega Genesis/Mega Drive controller has been available since 2019 and comes in two flavors: the 2.5Ghz and Bluetooth flavors. The latter is available at Amazon for $25.99, but costs another $20 to use it with the OG system. The dedicated version comes with its own 9-pin controller port adapter for the Genesis or Mega Drive. The M30 is designed to reduce potential latency, but this is not necessarily the same as Bluetooth. The author will test the M30's ability to play on-the-go and whether it will feel better when playing old 16-bit games. He will also assess the effectiveness of an alternative Bluetooth controller based on its ability to perform well in these games.
