The New England Patriots have announced seven free-agent signings, including former Jets guard Alijah Vera-Tucker, former Bills fullback Reggie Gilliam, and tight end Julian Hill. Each player had preconceived notions about the Patriots, but said he never had any animosity towards them. Gilliam had two winning seasons from the Patriots during his time in Buffalo. Hill, who was not tendered as a restricted free agent by the Dolphins, respected the Patriots from afar and said he felt it was a no-brainer to play for the team. Vera-Tokay projects as the Patriots' starting left guard this season after the team traded Garrett Bradbury for the purpose of moving left guard Jared Wilson to center. Hill's contract with the Patriots is reportedly worth $18 million.
