The Ohio Supreme Court has rejected an appeal by a Cincinnati brewing company, Fifty West, to block the state's ban on the sale of THC drinks in bars and breweries. This decision comes after Gov. Mike DeWine used a line-item veto to implement a ban on intoxicating hemp products in December. The original bill had intended to allow bars and businesses to continue selling the products through the end of 2026, but DeWane removed this provision to speed up the ban to March 20. Despite this, THC drinks can still be purchased in marijuana dispensaries throughout Ohio, but will no longer be permitted to be sold elsewhere. The remaining THC drinks will be moved to Northern Kentucky where they can still legally be sold in bars.
