'They Will Kill You' Won't Slay 'Project Hail Mary' at Weekend Box Office

The second weekend of Project Hail Mary, directed and produced by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, is set to perform well at the box office, with a hold similar to Dune: Part Two or $45M. The film is expected to surpass $100M in its sixth day of release, becoming Ryan Gosling's fourth movie to cross $100m at the domestic box office. The movie is set for a strong second weekend, with K-12 schools off and 12% colleges on break. Other top films include The New Line-Nocturna $20M co-financed They Will Kill You starring Zazie Beetz and Outlook, which is projected to gross $10M stateside and another $10m abroad from 65 territories. Other notable films include IFC's Forbidden Fruits at 1,525 locations with a forecast of $1.5M-$3.5m.
