The state of Illinois has seen the closure of all locations of a national chain, including those of Pop's Italian Beef, New Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, and a town board unanimously voted against allowing data centers. The city council is set to consider a request for an expanded signage at a new frozen yogurt shop in Water's Edge. The restaurant, which opened its first U.S. location in 2020, is expanding further into the area.
