Houston firefighter, doctor wife rush to help victims during Mexico pyramid shooting

Houston Fire Department Captain Andrew Roseborough and Dr. Jyothi Lagisetty, who were visiting the Teotihuacan pyramids when gunfire broke out near the Temple of the Moon, rushed to help injured victims. They found a child who had been shot and managed to control bleeding using direct pressure rather than a tourniquet. They also assisted a woman who had also been shot using materials provided by bystanders to help control bleeding. Both Roseborough, who initially denied being hailed as heroes, said their actions reflected the response expected of Houston firefighters and medical professionals in an emergency.
