Giants release injury-plague kicker Graham Gano after six seasons

The New York City football team has released its veteran kicker, Graham Gano, after six seasons. The move saves the team $4.5 million on this year's salary cap and costs $1.25 million in dead cap money. Gano had signed a three-year contract worth $16.5m and made 87.4% of his field goals during his time with the team. The team currently has two kickers on their roster.
