Car-shopping website Edmunds tested a $25K Chinese hybrid SUV for the first time, with Editor-in-Chief Alistair Weaver stating that the car's features are ahead of the vehicles driving in the US. While Chinese cars are effectively banned in the United States, Edmunds was able to legally borrow the vehicle from Geely and drive it on US roads. The car was tested to measure driving range, acceleration, braking, and other performance characteristics. While the model would be priced higher if it were available in the U.S., Edmunds found it would still be competitive at double its $25,000 starting price in China.
