Alejandro Escovedo, a renowned singer-songwriter and musician, is set to perform at the Adams Avenue Unplugged festival in San Diego on April 25. Born in 1951 in San Antonio to Mexican parents and a Texan mother, Escoveo moved from Orange County to San Diego when he was seven years old and has lived there since. He began his solo career with the Nuns, Rank and File, and the True Believers in the 1970s and ’80s before transitioning into solo success with 1992's "Gravity." Escovedeo has released several albums and has been performing regularly throughout his career. He also spoke about his San Diego connections and memories, plans for an eventful 2026, and his recent passing of his bandmate Jon Dee Graham.
