5 Valley Stream businesses damaged in fire

A fire broke out in Valley Stream, New York, affecting five businesses. The fire started in the Mr. D Cut Barber Shop, which spread to the Anaiz Hair & Beauty hair salon and Via Cuma pizzeria, causing significant damage. 100 firefighters from at least eight different departments were called to combat the flames, which were extinguished within 45 minutes. The businesses and apartments were evacuated and were boarded up to protect them. The cause of the fire was unclear, but officials believe it was an electrical issue.
