Cuyahoga County Executive Chris Ronayne is proposing deep cuts to the county's health and human services network, including MetroHealth and the ADAMHS Board, in 2026 and 2027. These cuts increase the number of mentally ill individuals entering the prison system and do not support interventions that could reduce recidivism. Instead, using scarce funds to prevent such an occurrence, Ronne argues.
