The University of Pennsylvania (Pennsylvania) has been ordered to comply with a subpoena from the Trump administration seeking information related to Jewish employees. The order comes as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) investigates a pattern or practice of harassment of Jews at the school. The EEOC requested lists of school groups and organizations related to the Jewish religion, including personal contact information for Penn employees in these groups. However, a judge ruled that Penn did not need to reveal any employee's affiliation with a specific Jewish-related organization, nor any information regarding MEOR, Penn Hillel and the Chabad Lubavitch House. The ruling comes amid a crackdown on higher education institutions accused of alleged antisemitism following widespread campus unrest.
