State Department Reopens Embassy in Venezuela Following Maduro Capture

The United States Embassy in Venezuela has reopened for the first time in seven years, less than three months after the operation that removed Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro. The State Department announced that the resumption of operations is a key milestone in implementing the President's three-level plan for Venezuela. Secretary of State Marco Rubio praised progress in efforts to stabilise the country and restore its economy. He also noted that Venezuela is slowly awakening from its nightmare, with oil sales at full market price and money returning to Venezuela for the benefit of the Venezuelan people.
