Rory McIlroy saved his PGA Championship with a second-round 3-under-par 67 to stand at 1-over for the tournament and just five shots out of the lead. Despite a disappointing opening-round 74, McIlory managed to turn the score around with better driving and better performance. Bryson DeChambeau, another player who missed the cut, followed with a 71 and finished 7-over to miss the cut by three shots. David Puig, a LIV Golf player granted a special invite into the field, is in good shape, shooting a 67 to place him at 2-under. This is the best position Puig has been in at a major in his career.
