A father, Timothy Michael Blake Thorne, has been charged with murdering his 3-month-old daughter, more than a year after she was killed. The incident occurred at a home in Marion, North Carolina, on Sept. 12, 2024. The child was taken to McDowell Hospital and later transferred to Mission Hospital in Asheville. After a year-and-a-half investigation, Thorne was charged with murder and one count of felony child abuse. He was already in jail on unrelated charges.
